Old School New Body is fitness program that’s specifically targeted at people over 40 year-of-age. It’s designed to help reduce the effects of aging and to allow over-40’s to get into good physical shape at a time when many of us begin to lose condition and gain more weight.
The Old School New Body plan has been authored by a team of experts well-known in the fitness and training world. Lead by Iron Man Magazine editor-in-chief Steve Holman together with his wife Becky Holman, there’s also input from John M. Rowley, known as “America’s Lifestyle Strategist.” Because the plan creators are well known this is a good sign of a product that has been properly designed and built on sound scientific principles. Old School New Body reviews are here.
This program is described as a “living proof” product because Steve and Becky Holman both use the methods that they have described in this plan. The authors used themselves as test subjects for the program and have created a plan that shows you exactly what they did to achieve “age defying” results, maintain good health, and develop impressively toned bodies.
The Holmans have condensed all their experiments into one system they call “Focus 4 Exercise” or F4X. This is an exercise and diet plan that’s been designed to take just 90 minutes of your time per week. Helpfully, they divide the plan into 3 stepped phases that you move through depending on your existing fitness and what your goals are.
Old School New Body starts with an introduction to the plan and its background and talks about some fitness truths and busts some myths that apply to the over 40’s.
The core of the plan is contained in the F4X exercise and meal plans, spread over 3 stages. The first is “F4X Lean” and assumes that you are starting from the point of having a sedentary lifestyle or that you’ve done no fitness activity for the last three months. The main aim of this first stage is to lose excess body fat.
The next 2 stages are available for those who want to go beyond some initial weight loss and adopting a somewhat healthier lifestyle. Stage 2 is called “F4X Shape” and it introduces some modifications to the plan, the aim of which is to help you build lean muscle and raise your fitness levels further. The final stage is called “F4X Build” and as the name suggests the aim here is to develop bulk and add around 15-30 lbs of additional muscle.
There are also some bonus materials, most of which we found were actually useful and a good value addition. Bonus content includes a Quick Start Workout Guide, “Ultimate Fat-Burning Secrets”, “Ultimate Muscle-Building Secrets”, “Ultimate Sex and Anti-Aging Secrets”, “Ultimate Health and Happiness Secrets”. Everything is delivered by digital download.

Summary: This is a refreshingly “content heavy” plan, and we particularly like that it’s directly squarely at the over-40’s. We also like the fact that the plan authors use themselves as the basis that the ideas work – you only have to look at them to see how great they look.
The plan is easy to follow and only requires a 90-minute commitment every week, so it’s suitable for the busiest of lifestyles. The presentation and quality of the materials is very good and the price is very good value. If you are over 40 and need to lose some weight and want to improve fitness then this is a recommended plan based on solid principles.
